Its our job to minimise and manage the risks....and we will help young people to assess, minimise and manage risks for themselves.

Our highly trained and experienced staff will provide participants with the skills relevant to their daily lives and learn the best way to travel through the natural environment they interact with and provide them with an experience they will not soon forget!

How the Scheme works:

For in depth information please visit: www.dofe.org

However in breif there are four elements to a DofE award or five for the Gold award. These are:

Volunteering - participants must do some voluntary work towards a charitable or community scheme, or some activity they can prove benefits their community.

Physical - this section purely involves the participant becoming active in some form, it also ensures the participant has a good basic fitness level ready for their expedition phase!

Skills - the participant can choose a skill they are interested in developing and improve it.

Expedition - this is where Antur steps in, we work in partnership with the participants to achieve this element of the award. We train the participants and supervise them on all aspects of training and preparation for their final assessment expedition we also provide the supervision and in most cases the assessment of the final expedition. Residential (Gold only) - this section involves the participant spending a week away from home sharing in an activity or project with people they've never met before.
